Housing for the 2023 ASHA Convention in Boston, Massachusetts will open on August 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., Eastern time.
ASHA has a new registration and hotel reservations service provider, Maritz Global Events, this year. If you are a regular ASHA Convention-goer, you may notice a few things about the registration and housing system that are different, but we think you will enjoy your experience.
If you have questions, you may contact us at convention@asha.org.
To help you plan in advance, we have a preliminary list of the official hotels (with rates) [PDF] that we'll be using for the 2023 ASHA Convention in Boston. You will be able to book a room at the negotiated ASHA rates through our housing reservation service. Rates may be subject to change before housing opens.
Both Convention attendees and the association benefit when you book a hotel room through ASHA. Here's how:
Sometimes, ASHA is alerted that an unauthorized housing company is contacting our exhibitors or attendees to inform them that they can offer less expensive room rates at hotels in our block. You may also encounter fraudulent websites promoting housing reservations for ASHA. Maritz Global Events is the only official housing company for ASHA. They will not solicit you and you can only navigate to their hotel reservations website through our own website, convention.asha.org. If you receive a call or e-mail from any company that is not our official housing provider or find a suspicious website, please contact us immediately at convention@asha.org.
All official ASHA Convention hotels comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. An ADA-accessible shuttle equipped with a wheelchair lift will be available for all ASHA hotels and any official ASHA event (i.e., ASHFoundation Fundraiser or the ASHA PAC Reception) for attendees with mobility issues. Those who use scooters can use the standard shuttle service; shuttle staff will help stow scooters in the cargo area of the shuttle. Scooters and wheelchairs are available for rent from Scootaround.
Read more about accessibility at ASHA's live events for information about reasonable requests for accommodations.
The 2023 ASHA Convention will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210.
The Boston area is served by Logan International Airport (BOS). ASHA does not provide airport ground transportation. Taxis, ride app services such as Lyft and Uber, and airport shuttles are all readily available at the airport to transport you downtown. You can also take advantage of the free MBTA Blue Line or Silver Line buses that go downtown.
North Station in Boston is served by Amtrak trains, commuter trains, and MBTA buses. South Station is also served by these rail services and MBTA buses, as well as many regional bus carriers (i.e., Greyhound, MegaBus, Concord Trailways, etc.).
The MBTA operates the subway system (the "T"), a commuter rail system, buses and ferries in the Greater Boston region. The convention center is at the World Trade Center stop on the Silver Line of the "T."
For those arriving by car, ample parking is available in garages near the Convention Center for a daily fee (plan for $25+).
Free shuttles are provided to and from the convention center and the ASHA hotels that are not walking distance. ADA shuttle service equipped with a wheelchair lift is also available.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) has put together an excellent guide for attendees with tons of useful information [PDF]. It covers how to get to the convention center, getting around the convention center with floorplans, a map of the Seaport District neighborhood, where to eat, services you will find at the convention center, and more. We recommend giving it a read to help you prepare for your visit to the ASHA Convention in Boston.
