Important onsite information to help in-person attendees prepare for the ASHA Convention.
We’re excited to see you in Boston! We'll be updating this page with more about onsite registration procedures, planning resources, policy updates, and other important know-before-you-go info in the weeks before the 2023 ASHA Convention, so be sure to check back.
Most activities will take place in these primary locations:
The Boston area is served by Logan International Airport (BOS). ASHA does not provide airport ground transportation. Taxis, ride app services such as Lyft and Uber, and airport shuttles are all readily available at the airport to transport you downtown.
Amtrak trains and many regional bus carriers (i.e., Greyhound, MegaBus, etc.) service South Station in Boston.
The MBTA operates the subway system (the "T"), a commuter rail system, buses and ferries in the Greater Boston region. The convention center is at the World Trade Center stop on the Silver Line of the "T."
For those arriving by car, ample parking is available near the Convention Center for a daily fee (~$25+).
Free shuttles are provided to and from the convention center and the ASHA hotels that are not walking distance. ADA shuttle service equipped with a wheelchair lift is also available.
We are committed to making the ASHA Convention accessible to all individuals. If you have a disability, as identified by the Americans With Disabilities Act, and anticipate needing assistance while at the ASHA Convention, please contact accessevents@asha.org. Requests for reasonable accommodations at our live events should be made as early as possible, and well in advance of the event, so we may best meet individual needs and requirements. We may be unable to fully respond to requests received after November 3. If you register after this date, please send an email to the address above with details about the accommodation. Requests made onsite will be accommodated to the best of our ability; however, available resources may be limited. If you have a mobility challenge, you may rent a scooter or wheelchair through Scootaround.

Your safety outside the convention center is also important, so please follow these general tips during your stay:
The deadline to report the sessions you attend at the 2023 ASHA Convention for CE credit is Friday, December 1, 2023, 11:59 p.m., Eastern time. This is the only way to earn professional development hours (PDHs) or ASHA continuing education units (ASHA CEUs) and to officially document your attendance with an event report/Certificate of Completion.
There is a nonrefundable $50 fee to initiate an appeal if you do not report by December 1, 2023. Appeals are accepted only for 6 months from the published reporting deadline. They are adjudicated individually by the Continuing Education Board and may not be granted.
Plan ahead to meet Ethics and Supervision certification requirements. When searching the Program Planner for sessions you’d like to attend, note that you can see which sessions count toward the ASHA certification maintenance requirements for Ethics (enter ethics credits in the search box) and Supervision (enter supervision credits in the search box). These sessions/credits will be marked on your event report and ASHA CE Registry transcript (for those who have joined the CE Registry). Learn more about these newly added credit types.
